RVP WOULD BE BRILLIANT

The former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van Der Sar has said that he is hoping that his former club manage to bring in the Arsenal striker Robin van Persie. Manchester United seem to have fought out the competition from Manchester city and Juventus in the race to secure the signature of the 29-year-old Dutchman from Arsenal. The former Feyenoord striker has already revealed that he will be leaving the club at the end of this season, as he will not be renewing his contract that comes to an end in the summer. As a result, Arsenal have decided to cash in on the player.

The Premier league club have put a £ 30 million valuation on the player, who scored more than 40 goals in all competitions for club and country last season. Manchester United have been unable to complete a number of transfers in the summer due to the inability to match the other clubs in terms of funding. However, the manager Sir Alex Ferguson looks to have convinced the owners that the arrival of Robin van Persie is crucial to the success of the team in the short term. As a result, he has already beaten the likes of Manchester city to his signature, but a fee with Arsenal is yet to be agreed.

Edwin van Der Sar has said that he is also hoping that the 29-year-old comes to Old Trafford. He has already said that he cannot wait for the new season to begin, in which van Persie and Wayne Rooney are likely to play in the same team. “I am getting a lot of questions about RvP and hope just the same as all you guys that he is coming to Old Trafford!!,” said the former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van Der Sar on his Twitter account.
