SUAREZ LINKED WITH BARCA EXIT

 

According to a report Luis Suarez has been linked with a move away from Spanish giant Barcelona. The Uruguayan international is strongly linked with a return to former side Ajax. Some reports even suggest that the Eredivisie giant has made an official bid for him.


Ajax CEO Edwin Van Der Sar, however, has poured cold water on the rumours. He made it clear that no bid has been made, but the club is open to signing the former Liverpool striker.

Edwin Speaks on Donny and Hakim Transfer

 

Confirmations have come from Edwin van der Sar that Manchester United is quite interested to sign a deal with Donny van de Beek when the summer transfer window opens this year. It was earlier reported that the Netherlands has emerged by claiming that Red Devils has already had talks with Ajax over striking a deal for Donny van de Beek after they saw Real Madrid hesitate for finalizing their move with the Dutchman that was agreed previously at a transfer amount of £45m.  

 

The Chief Executive of Ajax, Edwin van der Sar confessed that both sides have contacted him regarding the prospective transfer. But he has simply warned United not to go into negotiations for a discount regarding the amount because of the current Covid-19 outbreak. Regarding this matter, he said that it is not difficult for him to understand that both the clubs are showing interest to take up Donny van de Beek.

VAN DER SAR WORRIED ABOUT ZIYECH TRANSFER

Ajax Amsterdams chief Edwin van der Sar has revealed that Eredivisie postponement could impact Hakim Ziyech’s transfer to Chelsea. Like all other domestic leagues around Europe, the Dutch league is also on hold due to the Covid19 pandemic. The league has been suspended since 7th of March. Ajax are 1st in the league. They have 56 points from 25 games. Closely followed by AZ Alkmaar. Like the Amsterdam giant, they also have 56 points.


Ziyech was officially announced on the Blues website as the new club’s signing. He is expected to join the club from the 1st of July. But due to the situation of the league, the club might still need the service of the player beyond 1st of July should the league run deep into the summer.

MANCHESTER UNITED AND TOTTENHAM AFTER AJAX STAR

Hakim Ziyech is reportedly a target for Tottenham and Manchester United according to reports from Holland. The Morroco international was one of the star players during the Dutch side run to the semifinals of the Champions League last season.

It was expected that the player would be leaving in the summer due to his low release clause stipulation. However, a move failed to materialize and Ziyech remained at the club. The 25-year-old has continued with his rich vein of form and scored a spectacular goal away to Valencia in the Champions League.

ALISSON SETTLED QUICKER THAN VAN DER SAR AND DE GEA

Liverpool shot stopper Alisson Becker has received numerous commendations for settling to life at Anfield very quickly. He was named the UEFA Goalkeper of the season 2018/19 last night. He was ranked ahead of Barcelona’s Marc-Andre Stegen and Hugo Lloris of Tottenham Hotspur. Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak and Andre Onana of Ajax completed the top five.
